Dr. Abrahams developed hemostatic sealant to be used in Brain Surgery. The Company (www.endomedix.com) was founded over 10 years ago and based in Montvale, NJ. The Company has received over $5 M in funding and has a number of patents related to their technology.
Dr. Abrahams developed a bone dust collector (www.capseus.com) to use a patient’s bone during surgery rather than cadaver bone. He has been using the device for years with excellent results. The company now has a national sales force and developing other products to help in spine surgery.
Dr. Abrahams developed DTX (www.dtxmed.com) as a Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) to obtain patient reported outcomes (PROs) and engage patients and providers through Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM). RTM allows providers to obtain patient information and reduces costs by reducing outpatient visit expense.
Dr. Abrahams created a seamless after hours call software program called OnCallX (oncallx.com) that eliminates the need for an operator; allows patients to contact their provider any time with immediate response and above, reduce the cost of the service.
In 2016, Dr. Abrahams began to develop a Neurosurgical Robot to aid in surgical procedures. He teamed up with Honeybee Robotics, a leader in lunar exploration vehicles and tools, and developed a prototype Smart Retractor. A patent was filed in 2019 (62/790,843 – Smart Robot-Assisted Brain & Spine Surgical System). Dr. Abrahams continues to develop and is in the process of submitting a government application.
